The Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) invites all to the 4th meeting of the Forum of the Countries of Latin America and the Caribbean on Sustainable Development, which is convened annually. This forum is a regional mechanism to follow up and review the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, including the Sustainable Development Goals and targets, its means of implementation, and the Addis Ababa Action Agenda.
The fourth meeting will be held from March 15 – 18 and will be attended by representatives of member States, the private sector, civil society, development banks and other United Nations agencies. The official activities of the Forum, which will take place from 16 to 18 March, will be preceded by activities conducted by civil society and other stakeholders (15 March 2021). The opening ceremony will take place at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, 16 March (Costa Rica time, GMT-6; 10:00 a.m in Dominica). In addition, on Tuesday, 16 March, from 9.40 a.m. to 1 p.m. (Costa Rica time, GMT-6), there will be a dialogue during which ministers and high-level authorities responsible for the implementation of the 2030 Agenda in Latin America and the Caribbean will have the opportunity to deliver a five-minute statement on resilient and sustainable recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and achieving the 2030 Agenda.
